This is to officially congratulate three TAMWA members who emerged among winners of the Excellence in Journalism Awards (EJAT) for the year 2017! The celebrations which were held at GOLDEN TULIP, Dar- Es- Salaam on 12th May 2018 was coordinated by Media Council of Tanzania (MCT).

For those who were present during the event, will agree that we experienced colorful, exciting and breathtaking moments, as male and female candididates too to the platform to be presented with their trophies, certificates and other monetary presents while they enjoy live coverage from two giant national braodcasting channels namely TBC and AZAM TV.
It was a night with a difference!
The competition was tought but very healthy. I am sure winners and losers agree it was very fair and healthy competition adjudicated by qualified, strong and professional judges who are renowned media GURUS in their own right.
We congratulate all women who sent in entries but did not go through. To you we say, take heart keep on trying, you have nothing to lose. Congratulations too to CG FM for producing the overall winner who is a female by the name of VIVIAN PYUZA. Give her support, motivation, training and exposure. For her, the sky is the limit!

We wanted to see many more women excel in the journalism profession, so that we have editors, sub editors, media managers, producers and media owners. We are getting there, slowly but surely.
