TWO DAYS JOURNALISTS TRAINING ON ROAD SAFETY ISSUES IN TANZANIA

TAMWA has conducted a 2 days training of Journalists on Road safety issues. Aim of this training is to engage journalists to build a network and their understanding of the road safety crisis (Including Risk Factors) also to increase frequency of quality and accurate reporting on road safety issues to the public.

 

 However the training emphasis on increase media coverage of the work of other Global Road Safety Partnership grantees to promote public awareness on the road safety situation and the key risk behavioral factors.

 Road safety is a complex issue, Media are part of the solution.

Role of TAMWA in Road safety issues is to.

i. Help journalists see the big picture

ii. Help journalists write about the big picture

iii. And Ask journalists to take an active role in the promotion of change (=save lives)

 This training is conducted at TAMWA Hall, Sinza Mori Dar es Salaam and today 1.3.2018 is the final day of this 2 day training.
