Chama cha Wanahabari Wanawake - TAMWA kimefurahishwa na kinazidi kuupongeza Umoja wa Wabunge Wanawake nchini kwa juhudi ambazo unaendelea kuonyesha kutafuta kiasi cha Sh.3.2bilioni za kujenga vyoo vya mfano kwa wanafunzi wasichana na wenye mahitaji maalumu katika majimbo 264 ya uchaguzi nchini.

Chama cha Wanahabari Wanawake nchini – TAMWA kimesikitishwa na kulaani vitendo na matukio ya ukatili uliopindukia unaofanywa na baadhi ya walimu kuwapiga wanafunzi bila kufuata sheria zinavyoelekeza na kupelekea baadhi yao kuathirika kisaikolojia na hata kupoteza maisha kutokana na vipigo hivyo.
Miongoni mwa matukio ya kusikitisha ni lile la tarehe 27 Agost ambapo MWANAFUNZI wa darasa la tano katika Shule ya Msingi Kibeta, Bukoba mkoani Kagera, Sperius Eradius (13) alifariki dunia baada ya kupigwa na mwalimu wake kwa kutuhumiwa kuiba pochi ya mwalimu.

Tarehe 16 Julai, 2018,Shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa linaloshughulikia idadi ya watu duniani (UNFPA),lina Ujumbe Kutoka Jumuia ya Umoja Ulaya (EU) kwa Tanzania Jumuiya ya Afrika mashariki (EAC), Ubalozi wa Uingereza, Ubalozi wa Ireland, Ubalozi wa Uholanzi, pamoja na ubalozi wa Kanada kwa pamoja watakuwa wenyeji wa shughuli ya kuonesha juhudi zinazohitajika katika kukomesha suala la ukeketaji hapa nchini. Katika tukio hilo Kutakuwa na hotuba kutoka kwa Waziri wa Afya, Maendeleo ya jamii, Jinsia, wazee na Watoto. Pia kutakuwa na Hotuba ya mwakilishi wa Jeshi la polisi Tanzania na wanaharakati wa haki za binaadamu pia kutakuwa na uzinduzi wa filamu mpya yenye hadi ya kimataifa inayoitwa “In the Name of Your Daughter”,. Baadsa ya filamu hiyo kutakuwa na wasaa wa maswali na majibu kutoka kwa washiriki wa tukio hilo.
On 16 July, 2018,the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA),the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Tanzania and the East African Community (EAC), the British High Commission, the Embassy of Ireland, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the High Commission of Canada will host an event to highlight the intensified efforts that are needed to end female genital mutilation (FGM) in the country. The event will include remarks by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania represented by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children and the Tanzania Police Force, as well as human rights activists, and the screening of the internationally acclaimed film “In the Name of Your Daughter”, followed by a Question and Answer (Q&A) Session with the audience.
